- Vendor Inbound Management Program - Our Vendor Freight Management
Program was created by experienced Direct Marketing Operations Managers in partnership
with the nations leading carriers to provide a high degree of control over transportation
while supporting purchasing, inventory and receiving functions. Services include: design and issue of simple, effective international and domestic routing instructions;
enforced compliance with charge back processing; single-common rate base for all
domestic LTL carriers; “must move on short notice” truckload team services; electronic
Intransit Tracking of all international and domestic shipments; and customer service
support for all vendors, carriers, and client staff.
- Analysis - DM conducts a confidential, cost-free audit and analysis
of freight costs and service requirements. Based on this analysis, we provide
a comprehensive findings report outlining opportunities to reduce expense, improve control, and make use of our information technology. Our findings report includes
management and cost recommendations for all modes of international and domestic
transportation.
- Rating Systems - DM designs and manages rating systems for all domestic
LTL, TL, airfreight shipments for clients participating in our consortium rate contracts.
Our rating systems can also be customized to meet specific needs. Current systems
are desktop or Internet based and include all zip codes and mileage within the US.
Our LTL rating systems accommodate FAK, intrastate, and specific regional and local
carrier options. Airfreight rating includes all levels of service with automated
dimensional weight calculation.
- Intransit Tracking™ - DMWARE A unique client information system designed
to provide shipment status information combining all carriers and modes of international
and domestic transportation in one desktop application. System includes EDI links
to all participating carriers, in-house editing and entry, consolidation of international, upload to our FTP web site, and download to client system. Modifications include
purchase order system links, and addition of product detail. Our system includes
Purchase order management and receipt planning information.
- Client Services - Include: Freight bill per-auditing, rate corrections,
manifesting, payment processing, payables reporting, expense ledger code tagging,
paperless processing, freight claims processing, client software support, routing
guide compliance and charge back processing, purchase order management, advance
ship notice, and communication with carriers, suppliers, and clients.
- Less-Than-Load Carrier Services - Our core carrier group consists
of 23 LTL carriers covering all points in the US using one common rate base. Carriers
include long-haul, regional, and metro carriers, with services ranging from standard
ground and expedited to residential deliveries with liftgate and inside delivery
services. Rating programs include single-class (FAK), linear foot, mileage, discounted
class, and flat pallet.
- Truckload Carrier Services - Over 1,200 contract services or truckload
carriers provide short notice team service from all points in the US. We also provide
advanced notice, scheduled load services for preplanned moves.
- East & West Coast Consolidations - We operate LTL consolidations
on both coasts for clients with sufficient volume to combine multiple shipments
into truckloads. Services include all routing, loading, manifesting, line-haul,
and reporting.
- International Services - Full NVOCC, Customs House, and Freight Forwarding
Services with agent operations in 41 countries. Direct Marketing and Retail services
include FC, LCL, consolidations, and air services from all points; seamless handoff
with domestic services; Intransit tracking status information starts at booking;
expedited Customs clearance; and broad range of pricing and transit time options.
